The panther is a wild, untamable animal that has become synonymous with Cartier. K-pop sensation BTS V aka Kim Taehyung, keeping up with its spirit, has been chosen as the brand’s newest brand ambassador and the face of its Panthère de Cartier campaign because he “shares the same creative spirit and magnetic gaze as the panther.”
The panther’s symbolism and elegance have guided founder Louis-François Cartier’s creativity since its debut in 1914, and V’s most recent photos are evidence of how its fascination radiates to people who wear it. V’s association with the brand caused so much noise amongst his fans that the official website of Cartier crashed due to heavy traffic.

The 27-year-old uploaded some amazing photos to his social media account, which quickly caused the internet to go crazy and left BTS ARMY followers asking for more. Taehyung can be seen wearing a shirtless red pantsuit, pulling it off with his blonde hairstyle.

The South Korean star accessorized his look with a sculptural diamond ring, tête-à-tête panther bracelet, the Révélation d’une Panthère watch, and a Panthère de Cartier necklace that was made of white gold, diamonds, onyx, and emeralds and costs $26,700 USD or INR 22 lakh. The Cartier Panther Necklace 18k Yellow Gold got sold out within minutes on the luxury brand’s website after it was announced that Kim Taehyung became their brand ambassador and was spotted wearing it in the recent ad campaign.
There are now very few white gold pieces available, and after the news of Taehyung’s ambassadorship was public, the Cartier website crashed. “When it came to embodying the magnetism and aura of the panther, our choice naturally fell on V.
