Katy Perry made an iconic appearance at King Charles III’s coronation concert on the stage. She is an ambassador for the British Asian Trust, founded by King Charles III in 2007, and was pictured taking her seat among the 2,200 guests in attendance at the ceremony.
She joined stars such as Lionel Richie and take that to entertain the 20,000-strong audience gathered to celebrate the new monarch. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor in King Charles coronation concert introduced Steve Winwood in her spoken word performance at the event.

Perry wore a golden Vivienne Westwood gown which was made using gold metallic leatherette. The corseted gown was inspired by the fashion house’s 2006 Gold Label collection. It had an 18th-century silhouette draping inspired by a bridal look from Vivienne Westwood’s spring 2006 collection. The look was custom-made, especially for Katy’s performance.
She revealed that there was a special note sewn inside her coronation concert dress. The note read in bold letters, “KATY PERRY. CHARLES III. 2023. VW.” The embroidery also included a small crown sewn next to the king’s name.
She paired up her dress with matching opera gloves and a pair of gold cherub earrings that added charm to her beauty.
She tied her hair in a sleek updo and went for minimal makeup since the dress was overpowering. Katy looked spectacular.
The “Firework” singer, took to Instagram to share backstage details with her fans, revealing her Pentecostal pastor mother Mary Perry was in attendance. She also shared a photo of the inside of her bespoke Vivienne Westwood gown, which featured delicate embroidery reading “Katy Perry Charles III 2023 VW”.
