AIIMS successfully implements ABHA-based app to cut down waiting time for OPD patients.

The Ayushman Bharat Health Account-based scan and share facility (ABHA) was successfully implemented at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi on Sunday. The facility was designed to reduce the length of time patients had to wait in the Outpatient Department (OPD) and long lines at one of India’s top medical centres.

With an outstanding 73,700 ABHA-based scan and share OPD tokens given to date, AIIMS New Delhi proudly holds the top spot after the deployment of the ABHA-based scan and share service. This accomplishment highlights the hospital’s commitment to offering effective healthcare services that put patients first.

Benefits of the ABHA Application:

The OPD patient experience was improved overall thanks to the ABHA Mobile application, which also greatly shortened waiting times and streamlined the registration process for hospital visitors.

Dr. Rima Dada, the professor in charge of the media cell, reported that patients who had to wait for a longer time at AIIMS experienced uncomfortable and inconvenient long lines at the OPD registration booths. Patients can now easily avoid these lines thanks to the ABHA-based scan and share facility, making their hospital visit more convenient and comfortable.

Patients can quickly obtain a special token number by scanning a specific QR code using the ABHA-compatible Personal Health Record application. Patients don’t have to wait in queue because they can go straight up to the counter when their token is visible. AIIMS New Delhi exhibits its dedication to utilising digital solutions for the benefit of its patients by embracing this cutting-edge technology.
