74th Republic Day; The Parade is as extravagant as always.

On the occasion of the 74th Republic day, the Parade happened as every year and it was mind-blowing as always.

India’s Republic Day parades have always been beautiful and a sight to behold. The 74th Republic Day parade are no different this year. The first Republic Day festivities on the newly renovated Central Vista Avenue since Rajpath was renamed to Kartavya Path last year are underway in honor of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the country.

From Kartavya Path, President Droupadi Murmu led the country in commemorating the 74th Republic Day. Along with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi serving as the parade’s special guest. The renowned liberation fighter Subhas Chandra Bose was born on January 23, which is now recognized as Parakram Diwas. The weeklong festivities will conclude on January 30, which is also known as Martyrs’ Day.

The Parade:

According to the Ministry of Defence, the Republic Day parade was a special blend of India’s military power and also cultural variety. Portraying the nation’s expanding indigenous capabilities, Nari Shakti, and the development of a “New India.” The procession on the Kartavya Path had a total of 23 tableaux. Including 17 from states and union territories and six from other ministries and departments. All of which therefore showcased India’s rich cultural legacy, economic development, and social advancement.

The Egyptian Armed Forces’ guest contingent started the parade, which was further followed by a display of force by the Armed Forces. This year’s parade featured only weaponry made in India. President Murmu received the 21-gun salute from an indigenous 105-mm Indian Field Gun (IFG). Breaking with tradition in an effort to eradicate colonial relics. Another first at the march involved a group of women from the CRPF’s armed police unit. Women constables participated for the first time in both the camel band of the BSF and the band of the Delhi Police.
