Delhi Police recovers 2,000 cartridges ahead of I-Day

In front of Independence Day, the Delhi Police has recuperated around 2,000 cartridges and captured six individuals for their supposed job in pirating arms and ammo into the public capital, authorities said on Friday.

A tremendous amount of ammo, including 2,000 live cartridges, was recuperated from their ownership, NDTV report cited the police as saying. The denounced were captured from Anand Vihar in the public capital with two sacks of cartridges, the report added.

Police said a case has been enrolled and examination is on.

As India gears up for the Independence Day festivities, security has been reinforced across the public capital.

Police have heightened watching and vehicle checks and tight security courses of action have been made at all touchy spots in Delhi, including Metro stations, railroad stations, air terminals and markets.

Lodgings, parking garages and cafés are being checked, and a confirmation drive of inhabitants and workers is being completed, authorities said.
