Gudi Padwa traffic restrictions in South Mumbai, advisory issued: Avoid these routes today

Gudi Padwa 2024: The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued restrictions on various South Bombay routes expected to experience heavy crowds during the Gudi Padwa 2024 celebrations. This festival, marking the arrival of spring and the Marathi New Year, is celebrated with great enthusiasm. As preparations for the rally are underway, here are the traffic regulations put in place to prevent congestion. It is recommended to review these restrictions to avoid any inconvenience.

The stretch of RR Road from the SVP Road junction to the Saifee Hospital Building will be shut down for both traffic and parking. However, SVP Road will remain open for traffic. VP Road, from the CP Tank Circle junction to the Nityanand Hotel junction, will be closed for parking. Additionally, VP Road will be closed to traffic due to the expected gathering of celebrants. For those traveling from Prarthana Samaj Junction, there is an option to turn right towards SVP Road.
