In the midst of reports of nuclear energy stations seeing a plunge in their coal stocks, Haryana will take extra power from states like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh and different sources to meet the utilization, said state Power Minister Ch Ranjeet Singh.
“We will handle what is going on soon. 1200-1400 MW extra power would be taken from Adani. Power utilization has expanded. Further, 350 MW of extra power would be taken from Chhattisgarh and 150 MW from Madhya Pradesh to Haryana,” the Minister told ANI. Singh further said a unit of the nuclear energy station has been shut down for specialized issues.
“A unit of a nuclear energy station had been shut. Its switch must be changed. It must be brought from China. It couldn’t occur during COVID because of the lockdown in China. The substitution will be finished soon,” added Haryana Power Minister.
In the meantime, the Delhi government has communicated its anxiety over the conceivable deficiency of coal in power established that supply power to the public capital and has composed a letter to the Central Government encouraging it to supply guarantee satisfactory coal.
Delhi Power Minister Satyendar Jain held a crisis meeting at Delhi Secretariat in this setting on Thursday and furthermore composed a letter to the Central Government mentioning its intercession in order to give sufficient coal to the power plants providing power to the public capital.

Association Minister Pralhad Joshi, Haryana said on Thursday that the country’s warm plants hold around 22 million tons of coal which is enough for 10 days, and renewal will be done consistently. The clergyman alluded to warm plants not working to their full limit because of the flood in costs of imported coal.
He said the power service has given essential headings to the nuclear energy stations. “Since gas-based power plant got closed, imported costs climbed, no plant worked at full limit. Power Ministry has given headings to begin it. Our nuclear energy stations hold 21-22mn tons of coal, enough for 10 days. Renewal to be done constantly,” Joshi said.
