OP Chautala Sentenced With 4 Years Jail, 50 Lakh Fine in Disproportionate Assets Case

Delhi court condemned previous Haryana Chief Minister OP Chautala to four years in prison and forced a fine of Rs 50 lakh for a situation connected with unbalanced resources on Friday.

The CBI had documented the case in 2005, and a charge sheet was recorded on March 26, 2010, blaming him for gathering resources unbalanced to his genuine pay, somewhere in the range of 1993 and 2006.

As per the CBI’s FIR Om Prakash Chautala, while working as Chief Minister of Haryana during the period from July 24, 1999, to March 5, 2005, in arrangement with his relatives and others, amassed resources, steadfast and portable, unbalanced to his known legitimate kinds of revenue, in his name, in the names of his relatives.
