Russia ends missile test info sharing with US

Conducts Drills In Siberia In Show Of Its Nuclear Capability Amid Ukraine War

On Wednesday, a senior Russian Diplomat said that Moscow will no longer inform the US about its missile tests. It was a report that came as the Russian military deployed mobile launchers in Siberia. The report showed the nation’s massive nuclear ability amid the fighting in Ukraine. And thus, Russia ends missile test info sharing with the US.

Sergei Ryabkov, the Russian deputy foreign minister said that there was a halt in the formation exchanges with Washington. He said that it was after the previous suspension of its participation in the last remaining nuclear arms pact with the US.

The parties have also exchanged advance warnings about the test launches along with data about the current state of the country’s nuclear forces. These memos have become a crucial element of strategic stability for decades. Also, it allows Russia and the US to precisely decipher each other’s moves and make sure that neither country mistakes a test launch for a missile attack.

The cessation of missile test warnings seems to mark yet another attempt by Moscow to intimidate the West from ramping up its support for Ukraine by pointing out Russia’s massive nuclear Arsenals.

The announcement of Ryakbov follows the US officials’ statement. It says that Moscow and Washington have stopped to share biannual nuclear weapons data. And that was envisaged by the New START Treaty. The officials at the White House and Pentagon say that the US proposes to persist to provide this information to Russia even after Putin poised its participation in the treaty. The State Government of the nation also agrees with the statement. But Moscow disclosed to Washington that it would not be sharing its own data.

Yars mobile missile launchers will maneuver across three regions of Siberia, Russia’s defense ministry said. It was done as part of the Russian drills that started on Wednesday. The movements will implicate measures to stifle the deployment of foreign satellites and other intelligence, it said.

Also, Ukraine’s President Zelensky invited his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to Ukraine. He planned the visit to the war-torm nation saying that they haven’t been in contact since the war began.
