Sonia Gandhi Being Treated For Fungal Infection In Respiratory Tract, Says Congress

The party chief is under observation at Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital for post-coronavirus complications.

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is being treated for parasitic contamination in her respiratory lot, the party said in an explanation on Friday.


Gandhi confessed to Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday because of Covid-19-related confusions. Specialists treated her for nasal dying. She had tried positive for the Covid illness on June 2.


In its proclamation on Friday, the Congress said that Gandhi went through follow-up method for the nasal draining on Thursday. The parasitic disease was recognized during the method, it said.

The improvement came when the Congress boss’ child Rahul Gandhi is being examined in a tax evasion case connected with the National Herald paper.


On June 1, the Enforcement Directorate had given summons to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to show up before it on June 8 for addressing in the tax evasion case.


The Congress boss had looked for additional opportunity to show up before the office, saying she is recovering from Covid-19. On June 11, the Enforcement Directorate gave new request to Gandhi and requested that she show up before it on June 23.
