Sonia Gandhi Tests Covid-Positive Ahead Of Answering June 8 ED Summons

Gandhi, 75, got Coronavirus side effects on Wednesday and has been secluded on clinical counsel, Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said on Thursday.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday tried positive for Coronavirus, before June, 8 Enforcement Directorate gathers in the National Herald tax evasion case.

Surjewala tweeted, “Congress President, Smt Sonia Gandhi has been meeting pioneers and activists over last week, some of whom have been found Covid +ve. Congress President had created gentle fever and Covid side effects last night. On testing, she has been viewed as Covid positive.

“According to clinical counsel, Congress President has detached herself.

“As countless Congressmen and ladies and well-wishers have communicated concern, we need to say that she is fine and recuperating. We thank everybody for their great wishes.”

He said the Congress president would show up before the ED on June 8.

“We, at the Indian National Congress, will update you as often as possible about any future turns of events,” Surjewala said.
