Team India’s Predicted XI vs Australia, WTC Final: Ravichandran Ashwin Or Ravindra Jadeja Or Both – Major Question For Rohit Sharma’s Team

The highly anticipated World Test Championship final, which will take place at The Oval beginning on Wednesday, will feature Team India against Australia. India has been the most reliable team over the last two WTC cycles and has also advanced to the final stages of significant white-ball competitions over the past ten years, although they have yet to win an ICC trophy. India last took home a significant ICC trophy in 2013, when it won the Champions Trophy in England. There has been much discussion on the starting lineup, particularly for the wicketkeeper position.

Possible Line-up of team India for WTC Final:

Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat are the only available wicketkeepers in the squad because Rishabh Pant has been sidelined since December of last year and KL Rahul has also been ruled out. Rohit Sharma: The Indian captain will try to redeem himself in the WTC final after a lacklustre IPL performance for the Mumbai Indians. Rohit is known for his aggressive batting style, and in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February of this year, he crushed a century against Australia. He scored 242 runs overall in the four-match series.

  • Shubman Gill: The young, gifted opener doesn’t require an introduction with the attention he has been receiving recently. After a great IPL season, Gill will aim to keep up his fiery play. He scored 128 runs against Australia in his final Test match, which was in March.
  • Cheteshwar Pujara: The seasoned batsman will be interesting to watch because he just finished a good season playing for Sussex in County Cricket. Team India will benefit greatly from Pujara’s outstanding experience in the main event.
  • Virat Kohli: In 2022, Virat Kohli overcame his dry spell and surged back to form. Since then, he hasn’t looked back. In March’s fourth Test match against Australia, he scored his eagerly anticipated 29th Test century.
  • Ajinkya Rahane: After a remarkable performance for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, former India vice-captain and sidelined player Ajinkya Rahane fought his way back. In 14 games, he scored 326 runs, and he’ll try to score more for Team India in the WTC championship game.
  • KS Bharat: The management may decide to go with KS Bharat’s experience over Ishan Kishan, who has yet to play in a Test match, despite the continuing dispute over the wicketkeeping position. In the BGT series against Australia, Bharat played, although he only managed 101 runs at an average of 20.20.
  • The brilliant all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja became the BGT series’ hero versus Australia. He took 22 wickets overall with his incredible spin, including two five-wicket hauls and one four-wicket haul. For Team India, his spin and hitting will be essential.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin: In addition to Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin is another Indian spinner who completely wowed everyone. He finished the series as the series’ top wicket-taker with 25 victories to his credit.
  • Shardul Thakur: Despite having played his final Test against England in July 2022, Team India may decide to keep Shardul on the pitch in order to improve their batting and pace.
  • Mohammed Shami: India’s bowling assault will be supported by this veteran bowler. He took nine wickets in the BGT 2023, including a four-wicket haul. He also ended up with the most wickets in IPL 2023.
  • Mohammed Siraj: Despite just having one wicket to his name in the BGT 2023, Mohammed Siraj will undoubtedly continue to serve as Team India’s pace option. The bowler, who is 29 years old, had a standout IPL 2023 season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, taking 19 wickets in 14 games.

This is just an expected line-up for now, official line-up is yet to be announced by BCCI.
