Virat Kohli’s Interesting Post Just Days After On-Field Spat With Gautam Gambhir.

Since his heated exchange with Gautam Gambhir following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 1 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Virat Kohli has been in the middle of controversy.

Following the game, there was an argument between Kohli and Gambhir. Amit Mishra and other players had to step in to restore order when things deteriorated so badly.

In the meanwhile, Kohli posted a mysterious message on his social media account. He quoted Marcus Aurelius, a former Roman emperor who ruled from 161 to 180 AD and was also a philosopher.

After the game, Kohli and LSG fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq got into a verbal fight. Naveen and Kohli got into a fight after the game during the customary handshake. Additionally, Naveen was fined 50% of his match fees.

Anil Kumble, a former Indian leg-spinner, wasn’t pleased with how things turned out at the venue in Lucknow on Monday. The legendary cricketer exhorted groups and individuals to appreciate one another.

“A lot of emotion is present in (the game), but you shouldn’t show it. Yes, you need to talk to someone, but this behaviour is unacceptable. You must always show respect to the adversary. You must honour the game, Kumble emphasised.

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir fined 100% for their behaviour:

“Lucknow Super Giants’ Mentor Gautam Gambhir has been fined 100% of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during the IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow,” the IPL stated in a press release.

According to IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.21, Mr. Gambhir admitted to the Level 2 violation.
