Since Janhvi Kapoor started promoting her upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi, she has dazzled with a series of stylish looks inspired by the method dressing trend. After wowing fans with cricket-themed sarees, lehengas, skirt and crop top sets, and bodycon dresses, Janhvi embraced the Punjabi vibe during the Chandigarh leg of the promotions, sporting a stunning Patiala salwar kameez set.
During her recent visit to Chandigarh to promote the sports-romance movie alongside co-star Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi shared photos of herself enjoying the city, interacting with fans, sipping lassi, and donning a cricket-inspired Patiala salwar kameez.
The actor captioned the photos, “If Mrs Mahi was a Punjabi kudi [heart emoji] Chandigarh ly [heart emoji] #MrandMrsMahi in theatres 31st May 2024.” Her ensemble comes in bright yellow and fuchsia-pink colours, making it a perfect sartorial pick for the warm weather.
Janhvi Kapoor’s Patiala salwar kameez set featured a sleeveless yellow kurta, intricately adorned with sequin embellishments, golden gota patti embroidery, and a striking backless design with dori ties embellished with pink and white tassels, along with cricket ball-shaped accents. The kurta boasted a plunging neckline, short hemline, side slits, and a body-hugging silhouette, adding to its charm. She paired it with a fuchsia pink salwar that showcased a loose, pleated design and detailed embroidery along the cinched borders.
To complete the look, Janhvi draped a tie-dye dupatta over her shoulders. The dupatta featured a yellow and white striped tie-dye pattern, colorful thread embroidery on the edges, blue gota patti on the hem, sequin details, tassels at the corners, and the word “Mahi” embroidered in vibrant pink. She styled the ensemble with a center-parted braided hairstyle adorned with crown braids and a Parandi, embellished with cricket ball-themed accessories.
For her makeup, Janhvi opted for feathered brows, a subtle smoky eyeshadow, mascara, sleek eyeliner, a dainty pink bindi, fuchsia pink lipstick, blush on her cheekbones, a hint of highlighter, and a dewy base, enhancing her radiant look.
