A 62-year-old priest was purportedly pounded into the ground by a man in upper east Delhi’s Sonia Vihar region, a police official told Press Trust of India on Thursday.
Following the episode, the blamed was attacked by certain local people and is present in the clinic, the police said.
Police got data around 5.40 am on Wednesday with respect to a minister, recognized as Soni Ram, the priest being beaten close to Pusta in Sonia Vihar, an authority said.
At the point when the police group arrived at the spot, they discovered that Ram, an inhabitant of Sonia Vihar, had been moved to the JPC emergency clinic. At the same time, the blamed, Sonu Bhatt, was attacked by people in general and taken to Trauma Center, Civil Lines, the official said.
Slam was subsequently moved to GTB Hospital yet kicked the bucket because of wounds at night, they said.
The official said that a case under segment 302 (murder) has been enrolled against Bhatt, who is as yet hospitalized. The priest last rites were also performed.
After the starter examination, the official said that Bhatt isn’t in a “sound perspective” and was known to the person in question.
