BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has been taken to the Thanesar Police Station in Kurukshetra, Haryana after the Punjab Police cavalcade was intercepted. According to sources in Haryana Police, the Delhi Police will be travelling to Kurukshetra. The Punjab cops were stopped because the Delhi Police accused them of not following due procedures, the sources said.
The Delhi Police has filed an FIR against the Punjab Police for “abduction” and “assault”. Bagga was picked up by the Punjab Police Friday morning from his residence in West Delhi. They had intimated the Janakpuri police station before apprehending him, officials said, after he failed to appear before the police, despite being served five notices. Bagga has been arrested for “making/publishing provocative, false and communal inflammatory statements through his interview given to the media and through his posts on the social media site Twitter.”
It added, “In compatibility of the sets of Hon’ble High Court with comply to the headings of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar versus rigorously. the State of Bihar and another, 2014(8) SCC 273, the denounced was served 5 Notices u/s 41 A CrPC to come and join the examination. The Notices dated 09/04/2022, 11/04/2022 and 15/04/2022, 22.04.2022 and 28.04.2022 were properly served upon. Despite that, the charged intentionally didn’t join the examination.”
Tajinder Bagga will be delivered in court. Further examination is on, the police said.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) public secretary was reserved last month after AAP pioneer Sunny Singh recorded a grievance against him charging that Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga had offered provocative expressions, spread bits of gossip, and attempted to make strict and mutual ill will. Bagga supposedly compromised Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during a dissent on March 30. The complainant likewise submitted articulations and video clasps of Bagga to the police.
Tajindar’s dad Prital Singh Bagga said: “Around 10-15 Punjab Police cops jumped into my home toward the beginning of the day. They smacked me upside the head when I had a go at making a video of the capture. They even removed my telephone. At 8:30 am, they hauled Tajindar outside.”
