NEW DELHI: JP Nadda, the BJP national president resigned from his position on Monday as a Rajya Sabha member from Himachal. The leader’s resignation has been accepted by the Rajya Sabha Chairman.
Nadda has resigned from his position as a Rajya Sabha member from Himachal Pradesh as he has been elected to the House from Gujarat in the recently held elections to the Upper House.

Tenure of JP Nadda
With his tenure in the Rajya Sabha ending in April, J.P. Nadda’s decision to resign from his Himachal Pradesh seat was confirmed in a parliamentary bulletin issued by the Rajya Sabha. The bulletin stated, “Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, an elected member of the Council of States (Rajya Sabha), representing the State of Himachal Pradesh, resigned his seat in the Rajya Sabha and his resignation has been accepted by the Chairman, Rajya Sabha w.e.f 4th March 2024.”
