Why the Move from Mannat?
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the Khan family—Shah Rukh, Gauri, and their children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam—have shifted into a four-floor luxury apartment in Pali Hill. These floors have been leased from film producer Vashu Bhagnani. Shah Rukh’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, signed a leave and license agreement with Bhagnani’s children—actor Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshika Deshmukh—who co-own the property named Puja Casa.
Renovation work at Mannat, a Grade III heritage bungalow, was initially set to begin in May. The renovation includes a much-anticipated extension to the home, which required court approval due to the property’s heritage status.
Sources reveal that the four leased floors will not only accommodate the Khan family but also include space for their security team, staff, and even some office functions. While the new space doesn’t match Mannat’s grandeur, it offers enough room and, more importantly, privacy.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh is paying a monthly rent of ₹24 lakh for the apartment. His team has worked diligently to ensure a high level of security and seclusion for the family.
Although it’s unclear whether the family will stay for the entire renovation period, insiders suggest the upgrade at Mannat could take up to two years to complete.
