In an unintended crossover between Hollywood and Bollywood, we have found there might be something in common between Sarah Jessica Parker, the actor famous for playing Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City, and Kareena Kapoor’s Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
It was when Sarah stepped out for the New York City Ballet 2023 Fall Fashion Gala this week, looking every bit the glamorous Carrie in a strapless black Carolina Herrera dress. But something else subtly stole the attention: her mismatched heels! Just like Poo wore in the movie, though accidentally.
The 58-year-old Gala Chair stole the show in a plunging black Carolina Herrera Fall 2023 gown with cuts down the bodice and three-quarter sleeves.

The dress tightened up at the waist and flowed into a puffy, sheer tulle pleated skirt that looked like a tutu, which was ideal for the occasion.
She wore the Dish sandals from her eponymous shoe label SJP Collection, which come in a mismatched pair. Her heeled sandals included a pink satin mule with a diamond crystal ring and a black mule.
Sarah completed her appearance with a black hair bow, a sparkling metallic silver sequin purse, Kwiat Tiara, and Fred Leighton diamonds, as well as a Vacheron Constantin Heures Créatives Heure Romantique timepiece. Her hair was slicked back into a straight half-up half-down look, and a seductive smoky eye completed her appearance.
Sarah’s shoes also reminded us of Carrie’s from a Sex and the City episode from September 2000. In “Escape From New York,” Carrie wore a ruffled flowery mini-dress with a low-cut V-neckline and an asymmetrical skirt. Carrie completed her ensemble with two pairs of Christian Louboutin heels. One ankle strap heel was pink, while the other was black, as seen at the ballet.
Her husband, Matthew Broderick, looked dapper in a black tuxedo. His outfit contained a matching jacket, slacks, and shoes, as well as a white shirt and a black bowtie.
Other celebs that attended the star-studded event included Vanessa Williams, Justin Theroux, and Molly Ringwald, who contributed to the sparkle and glamour of the ballet extravaganza.
