Varanasi Election Results 2024 Highlights: For the third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi seat. However, according to the Election Commission’s data, his victory margin narrowed significantly.Â
Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat margin of 1,52,513. This victory margin has extremely restrained as compared to the 2019 and 2014 Lok Sabha Polls.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, PM Modi won by a margin of 4,79,505 votes (45.2%). In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP leader won by a margin of 3,71,784 votes (36.14 %). This time, there has been a drastic decline in the number of votes in 2024 in comparison to the previous two terms.

Varanasi, also known as the spiritual capital of the Hindu faith, is where devotees from around India come to cremate deceased loved ones by the Ganges river. The city now saw Narendra Modi, Ajay Rai, and their supporters rallying and campaigning through the streets as a scorching sun bore down on them with afternoon temperatures rising as high as 45 degrees.Â
His struggle and faith in the people of the country made him the leader with the maximum number of seats. After 1962, it is the first time when any party is elected for the third term after the service of two previous terms.
