India’s fast bowler Akash Deep was in scintillating form during the first innings of the Chennai Test, delivering two unplayable deliveries to dismiss Bangladesh batters Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque on consecutive balls.
After a tight first over, Akash came charging in for his second. Despite Zakir briefly pulling out due to issues with the sightscreen, the young pacer maintained his focus. He bowled a length delivery from around the wicket, which Zakir attempted to drive but missed entirely, watching his middle stump uprooted.

The very next ball was nearly a carbon copy, but this time it was Mominul Haque who fell victim. Beaten by Akash’s pace, Mominul failed to connect with the inside edge, and the ball deflected off his left pad, crashing into the off stump.
