“If there is a Novelistic set-up, you need strong characters that drag you into their journey through emotional connection. #Devara barely connects us with the protagonist, and the world seems too convenient for some “borrowed” visuals. While Anirudh tried his best, the superficiality never impresses us at any point,” one user wrote on X.

About the movie
In this film, Jr NTR plays a dual role as both Devara and Varadha, with his characters central to the plot. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a coastal region, marked by shifting power struggles and a dramatic clash of wills. Saif Ali Khan portrays Bhaira, a kushti (wrestling) master whose seemingly unshakable dominance is challenged by Jr NTR’s characters. Janhvi Kapoor plays Thangam, a village beauty caught in a love affair with Jr NTR’s son.
