24-year-old Fatima Khan detained over death threat to Yogi Adityanath

Fatima Khan, a 24-year-old woman with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, was detained in Ulhasnagar, located in Thane near Mumbai, Maharashtra, for allegedly sending death threats to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to the police, she is reported to be mentally unstable.

The Mumbai Police received a death threat targeting Yogi Adityanath on Saturday, November 2. In addition to his political role, Yogi Adityanath serves as the Mahant (Head Priest) of the Gorakhnath Temple.

The threat was made through a call to the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell from an unidentified number. The caller warned that Yogi Adityanath would face the same fate as the late NCP leader Baba Siddique if he did not resign within 10 days.

On Saturday, October 12, Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and a prominent leader in Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction, was shot dead by three assailants in Mumbai, suspected to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
