Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to bribe AAP leaders ahead of the Delhi election results. The Rajya Sabha MP claimed that BJP had contacted seven AAP MLAs, offering them ₹15 crore each to switch parties.
“Some were even approached in face-to-face meetings,” Singh stated during a press conference. “This clearly indicates that BJP has accepted defeat even before the results, which is why they are resorting to such tactics,” he alleged.
Singh added that AAP has instructed its candidates to record such calls and use spy cameras to capture any direct meetings where offers are made.
The BJP has not yet responded to the allegations.

Delhi Election: AAP vs BJP
Voting for Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies was held on February 5 with 699 candidates contesting. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI, the national capital recorded a voter turnout of 60.42% in these high-stakes polls.
The results, set to be announced on February 8, will decide whether AAP secures a third consecutive term or if the BJP ends its 27-year wait to reclaim power in Delhi.
Exit Poll Predictions
Most exit polls suggest the BJP is likely to form the next government, while AAP may trail behind. The Congress is expected to continue its poor performance in the assembly elections.
However, exit poll predictions differ on the margin of BJP’s lead. While some forecasts suggest BJP could win 51-60 out of 70 seats, two polls have predicted an AAP victory. These projections were released after voting concluded on Wednesday.
