  • The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium was opened in 1983. However, it was closed and underwent a significant refurbishment before becoming the Narendra Modi Stadium. After that, in February 2020, it was reopened.
  • One of Ahmedabad’s largest infrastructure projects was the stadium’s redesign. It presently has three entry points, 76 corporate boxes that can accommodate 25 people, is directly connected to a metro line, and offers a number of opulent amenities.
  • 132,000 people can fit in the stadium, and 3,000 vehicles and 10,000 two-wheelers can park there. To lessen traffic, a skywalk connects the stadium to a metro station.

The Border-Gavaskar series is now 2-1 in favour of India. The team will face Australia in London starting on June 7 if they win the last Test to guarantee their place in the ICC World Test Championship final.
